Hello, World!

So as it happens, I made some plans for some things and I only accomplished them halfway (or you could say, 1/25 of the way.)

The good news is that I've always got a zillion plans in the works and I DO implement them bit by bit.

The first thing is, I'm working on an online magazine, desire machines, which I hope to turn into an elegant, hard-edged, sexy amalgamation of the type of subjects that I have touched on here. At this point I'm trying to decide on the best medium for delivery - I've tested a couple of hosting sites and platforms and am still working on the kinks. Eventually, I'll be putting out a request for contributors. In the meantime, I've linked the calendar for DM on the left, which will showcase events, music, movies, fashion shows, etc.

Second, I'm slowly working on pulling together my limited portfolio - styling, drawing, painting, photography, graphic design....you know! That's over at bridgetdriessen and is also very much in the initial stages. In the meantime, one of the most representative items of mine is this video
I made for Justin McGrath's ambient project a while back. It even got "liked" by vimeo director Blake Whitman and is part of the channel Videos That Don't Suck! . I've got some more plans for video collaborations on the way, so just sit tight and eventually you'll be rewarded :-)

Finally, I've been to some shows, I've been getting hooked on BSG, I've been working on some design for an iPhone app (more on that later), I've been going to the gym on a semi-frequent basis, I've been taking cross-midwestern trips, I've daydreamed about cars and cruises and new cities, I've beaten Fallout 3, I've been cooking up a storm, I've stumbled upon some fashion-related successes, I've been investing, I've been saving money, I've been trying to stay true to myself and feel good!!
